Events and Activities

The 1st Ocean Energy and Maritime Transport Conference was organised by the NAOME Department of the University of Strathclyde and it took place on 16th & 17th of June 2021. It consisted of 2 parallel sessions and the total number of participants was over 100 people. The audience consisted mainly of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering students, researchers, and academics but there were also present representatives from the maritime industry. Our partners from MSRC presented their work for SafePASS in the form of a presentation with title: ‘Dynamic Risk Modelling for Passenger Ship Evacuation’. The scientific community welcomed the SafePASS approach on maritime safety and quite a few participants expressed their interest in our research outputs.
