Events and Activities

A workshop was organised by the Maritime Safety and Research Centre (MSRC) and held on the 5th of November 2021 to discuss and decide jointly among all involved partners on the necessary scenarios. Within the workshop, it was jointly agreed that scenarios involving large public spaces and/or cabins during day and night-time respectively reflect the risk in an appropriate manner. Besides, it is obvious that engine room fires dominate the frequencies but not the consequences on the passengers. The figure below represents the model imported into PYROSIM software.

The results will be used to a wider numerical simulation database, contributing to the construction of a risk modelling tool able to precisely calculate the corresponding risk or the PLL respectively.
